Recognized around the world as the "American Riviera," Santa Barbara's dramatic coastline makes it a popular tourist destination. However, the City has a well diversified economy, featuring a strong tech industry, service sector, education, finance, health care, and agriculture. Santa Barbara has a population of approximately 91,000 people, and served by the Santa Barbara airport, Amtrak, and US HWY 101.

Known as one of California's favorite beach towns, Carpinteria has a population of approximately 13,000 people, and is notable as the home of Lynda.com, ProCore, and AGIA. Carpinteria also has a strong agricultural industry, and hosts the annual "Avocado Festival" which is a major tourist draw.

Incorporated in 2002, Goleta is currently a city of approximately 55,000 people, and hosts a growing tech industry thanks to its location near the Univerity of California Santa Barbara.
